Expanded states Journeys

Private ketamine-assisted therapy sessions and mini-retreats for deep healing,

intuitive clarity, and embodied change.

Welcome

If you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, disconnected from your path, or in the thick of grief, overwhelm, or a major life transition—sometimes talk therapy alone isn’t enough.

Expanded states of consciousness can open doorways to healing that the everyday mind just can’t reach.

These sessions weave legal psychedelic medicine (ketamine) with deep therapeutic support in a safe, held, and beautiful space.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

KAP combines the use of ketamine—a legal, dissociative, non-classical psychedelic—with psychotherapy and integration support.

It’s different from recreational ketamine use or medical-only clinics. KAP involves therapeutic guidance and meaning-making throughout your process—before, during, and after the journey.

Ketamine can support:

  • Softening inner critics and defense patterns

  • Regulating the nervous system

  • Opening access to suppressed emotion and insight

  • Loosening rigid thought loops (like in depression or anxiety)

  • Gently accessing transpersonal or spiritual perspectives

How It Works:
The KAP Journey

1. Screening & Medical Evaluation (virtual)

You’ll meet with our licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner (Psych-NP), who will ensure ketamine is a safe option for you. If appropriate, they’ll prescribe a series of ketamine lozenges (“troches”), which will be delivered to you by mail.

2. Preparation Session(s) with Cas (virtual or in-person)

We’ll explore your intentions, emotional landscape, and how to work with the medicine consciously. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan, set clear intentions, and ensure a safe, grounded “set and setting” for your journey.

3. Journey Session with Cas (in-person)

Your medicine session takes place in a private sanctuary space near Santa Cruz, designed for deep rest, safety, and insight.

  • 2-Hour Standard Session

  • 4–6 Hour Mini-Retreat

  • Overnight Retreat (available for couples or small groups)

4. Integration Session with Cas (virtual or in-person)

Within a week of your journey, we’ll meet to process your experience, anchor your insights, and translate them into meaningful change. Integration is where the medicine’s gifts become part of your daily life.

5. Follow-up Session with Psych-NP (virtual)

Included in your medical evaluation, this follow-up ensures your safety and ongoing wellness as you move through your series of sessions.

6. Series of Journey + Integration Sessions (#2–6)

Research shows that a series of six KAP sessions offers the most lasting change. Your prescription includes enough medicine for multiple sessions, each followed by integration support with Cas. This structured process helps you:

  • Build trust with the medicine and your own inner wisdom

  • Experience deeper levels of emotional healing and clarity over time

  • Create sustainable transformation, not just a single breakthrough

What KAP Can Support

  • Feeling stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of

  • Deep grief or loss that hasn’t found space to move

  • Burnout or spiritual numbness

  • Anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing

  • Childhood wounds and relational trauma

  • Fear of being seen / fear of your own power

Is Ketamine Right for You?

KAP isn't for everyone. All clients are medically screened before beginning.

Ketamine may NOT be appropriate if you have:

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure or thyroid conditions

  • A history of psychosis or mania

  • Pregnancy or are currently nursing

  • Certain respiratory or heart conditions

  • An active addiction to ketamine or other substances

  • Untreated sleep apnea or obesity

We'll discuss all of this together during your consultation to ensure it's a safe and supportive fit.
